ScrollMate — Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

ScrollMate is a Chrome extension that auto-scrolls web pages on demand. This page explains exactly what data the extension handles.

TL;DR

ScrollMate does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything stays on your device.

Data we collect

None. ScrollMate does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data, browsing history, page content, or analytics — with any server, third party, or the developer.

Data we store locally

ScrollMate uses Chrome’s local storage API to remember your last preferences, so the popup reopens with the values you set:

This information is stored only on your device, is never sent anywhere, and is removed when you uninstall the extension.

Permissions and why they are needed

ScrollMate does not request host permissions for any specific domain. It only runs on the tab where you explicitly start it.

Third parties

ScrollMate does not embed any third-party tracker, analytics SDK, advertising library, or remote code. All code runs locally in your browser.

Children’s privacy

ScrollMate does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future feature requires additional permissions — the change will be reflected on this page and in the published version of the extension. Each release that affects this policy will be reviewed by the Chrome Web Store before reaching users.
